The fellowship presents an exclusive chance to leverage storytelling in raising awareness about the significance of volunteering and making it a national habit.
Fellows will have the opportunity to connect and experience the journeys of committed volunteers from diverse backgrounds, each dedicated to addressing various social issues and striving to improve the world. Moreover, they will have the chance to explore their own creative side through channels of storytelling.
This 3 month virtual fellowship presents an exclusive chance to leverage storytelling in raising awareness about the significance of volunteering. Mentor driven sessions on every weekend will walk through a lifecycle of a story. Fellows will have the opportunity of connecting with volunteers, each dedicated to addressing various social issues.

The HOV fellowship is looking for individuals who are passionate about volunteering, and storytelling and believes that storytelling could be a strong medium to spread awareness about the same.
The aim of The HOV Fellowship is to raise awareness about the importance of storytelling in volunteering and provide hands-on experience of curating journey’s of volunteers that become a source of inspiration for others.
Yes, The HOV Fellowship is a virtual fellowship so can be managed via remote access.
The HOV Fellowship will provide an enriching experience to fellows where they will deepen their understanding about volunteering, communication skills and enhanced storytelling skills among other skills.
Once the application is received, it will be reviewed by our team. Shortlisted applicants will receive a communication for virtual personal interview, post which selected fellows will be announced.
On successful completion of the fellowship each fellow will receive a fellowship certificate and one time stipend of Rs. 5000. Additionally, fellows achieving their monthly targets for all three months will be provided with a year long membership of Volunteer Yatra.
Individuals, students or working professionals residing in India and aged between 16 to 30 years on 1st of July 2024, willing to contribute 4-5 hours per week for the period of 3 months.

No, The HOV fellowship is only for individuals residing in India.
Each candidate should fill in the detailed application form available on our website, post which shortlisted candidates will be communicated for further process of fellowship.
No, any individual from any background can apply, however candidates with experience in volunteering and storytelling will be preferred.
The last date for application form is 15th July 2024.
During the fellowship, each fellow will work with a mentor, who will guide them throughout the duration of fellowship by regularly connecting with fellows.
No, teams cannot be changed because the whole selection process depends upon the team selected by the applicant.
The tasks of each fellow will be based upon their selection in any of these three teams : Outreach, Content, Social Media.
Fellows will be able to explore their creative sides and acquire enhanced storytelling skills.
Fellow leaving the fellowship at any given point during its duration, will not be entitled to certificate, stipend and incentives of The HOV Fellowship.
Post completion of fellowship, fellows can explore long term volunteering roles at Humans of Volunteering, including managing the next cohorts of HOV fellowship.
